The Wanderer's Journal is an amazing find! The background details and the artwork are very exciting to look at. It's very fun to see your favorite enemies, bosses, and charms redrawn! The book has a wonderful journal-y writing style and remarks on the world! I do wish there was more material for it, but that's my only complaint. My younger cousins and I enjoy looking at the artwork together sometimes.
The only upsetting thing was that I got the non-improved version back in May, which has caused my book to fall apart. Earlier, this may have given it three stars, but now that it's fixed, it gets full credit! Overall, I would recommend this to my fellow fantasy bug enthusiasts.
Even though it doesn't offer any big news if you are familiar with the lore of Hollow Knight, this book is still very enjoyable to read. It lets you reflect on background elements of the game that you probably never thought of. The book's immense attention to detail and the stunning drawings are just so satisfying that I can't recommend this enough. It's probably even more enjoyable to people who are new to the lore of the game, since it explains many things while still offering a lot of room for interpretation and own thoughts.
I'm not a fan of artbooks, but I had to have this one. It's very well made and the improved binding of the new version is a huge plus. Hard cover and 160 pages make it a great purchase. The only complain I can possibly rise is that the book doesn't add much to the overall experience. I would have appreciated some additional information about the world of Hollow knight, but there isn't much extra lore for a completionist. 4 stars and 1/2 would be my vote, but if I have to pick between 4 and 5, I choose the latter.
The illustrations are great and the book is beautiful, gives a lot of insight into the world of hella knight.
This book really has improved its binding. The amount of care that went into the packaging is amazing. The quality of the product was great, the only little issue I have is the amount of reading material. There's not much to read, but the art is absolutely gorgeous. I guess it's fine since I know it's hard trying to make lots of reading material, but still, it'd be better if there were more words and pages. But that's good since it means I enjoyed the book and want more! Definitely recommend this to any fan of Hollow Knight. Fangamer rocks!
