The other reviews mentioned the yellow on Oscar being too bright, but it looks pretty good on mine. I'm wondering if there was a response to fan feedback and they dulled it down a bit?
This figure is great! He looks so good up close. All the details in the paint and sculpt are just right. The only mild complaint i have is the yellow paint on the bottom of his shirt is a little bright, but I find I only notice when I'm really looking close.
I ordered the combo pack of these figures, and they are all well-sculpted and mostly well-painted. They are all about the size and quality of an Amiibo.
Unfortunately, the worst figure of the set is Oscar, whose tunic is rimmed in yellow paint instead of gold, and whose scarf is painted red instead of brown. Generally these come across as a slightly more cartoonish/comic-book-style adaptation of these characters, but the bright primary colors on Oscar don't really fit with the Dark Souls aesthetic. There is gold paint on the figure -- the shield, sword, and scabbard tip on my figure are painted gold -- so I'm not sure why the tunic wasn't rimmed in gold as well. The photo is very accurate, but this particular figure stands-out a bit when grouped with the other two.
There is an old saying in my family... Thou who art Undead, art chosen...
