As a Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day account management and communications between external partners and Fangamer’s internal teams.
You will work closely with our Product Development, Marketing, and Launch teams to shape impactful licensing programs and partnerships for independent and AAA games and developers.
You will also play a key role in managing asset submissions, anticipating partners needs, ensuring brand guidelines and compliance rules are being followed, among all other responsibilities listed in this job description.
Responsibilities:
As a Partnerships Manager you will:
Support day-to-day account management for assigned licensing and business partners:
Act as a partner representative for Fangamer's merchandise, game publishing, and music departments
Manage submissions with licensors to ensure materials receive appropriate feedback that is then passed on to the appropriate internal stakeholders in a timely manner
Routinely follow up with licensors and business partners on various requests, including: business updates, marketing opportunities, and status updates
Anticipate the needs of licensing and business partners
Attend and lead meetings with licensing and business partners, and share notes with relevant internal stakeholders
Add products into Fangamer’s royalty tracking management system, and submit royalty reports to your licensing and business partners
Plan and strategize marketing opportunities with licensing partners and internal stakeholders to increase the reach and awareness of our products
Collaborate and strategize with Fangamer’s various internal departments:
Provide regular updates to leadership and internal stakeholders about the status of licenses
Liaise with Fangamer’s international branches
Coordinate with Fangamer’s legal department on contracts, terms, and compliance
Ensure pre-production and contractual samples are shipped out as necessary
Collaborate with Fangamer’s logistics team to facilitate wholesale orders for your licensing and business partners
Keep thorough records of communications on projects
Identify and recommend new product and partnership opportunities, and provide your feedback and analysis on new titles:
Research, analyze, and understand market trends along with consumer, retail and industry needs
Work with Fangamer’s internal data team to provide leadership and licensing partners with regularly updated forecasts
Occasionally travel to conventions and events for relationship management and business development
Qualifications:
As Partnerships Manager, you have:
At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate across multiple products and teams over various channels like Slack, Gmail, Discord, etc.
Great management systems to organize and action all necessary tasks throughout the workweek
In-depth knowledge of our fanbase and the games industry at large, including new trends, upcoming releases, customer habits, etc.
Ability to work closely with multiple teams, understand each team’s workflow and needs
Strong strategic thinking
A strong voice to advocate for business decisions that will boost our brand
Creative problem solving skills to maneuver multiple licenses through shifting timelines, expectations, and a multitude of systems both internally and externally
A keen eye and attention to detail to maintain project standards throughout multiple handoffs
